Advanced Operations

Calculate FOV from Tables

1. In the following pages, find your Distance From Target in the appropriate table.

2. Measure the width of your symbol and add a comfortable buffer.

This is the width of your FOV (the x dimension).

3. Look across the table to find that FOV width that’s closest to yours.

4. Go to the top of that column to find your FOV width.

From the symbols presented in “Select Region of Interest” on page 9-2 enable the

one that has a FOV that closest matches yours.For 1-dimensional symbols, you will

need to primarily consider the length.
