Illumination
The illumination system is composed of
four visible LEDs and six IR LEDs as
shown in the illustration to the right.
Both Visible and IR LEDs can be disabled
independently. IR LEDs can also be set
to low power.
For laser target spot, see
“Laser Target
Spot”
on page 8-3.
IR LEDs
Some inks may be incompatible with IR
lights. If having difficulty, try reducing
the IR LED’s intensity by reading the IR
LEDs Low Power or disabling entirely by
reading the IR LEDs Off.
Visible LEDs Off and IR On
Restore LEDs (default)
IR LEDs Low Range
Sets the IR LEDs to a lower intensity
range.
Does not turn OFF Visible LEDs.
This command turns OFF the
near-field IR.
IR LEDs Off & Visible On
Turns OFF IR
LEDs and turns
ON Visible LEDs.
In some applications with bright reflective surfaces it might be desirable
to turn off the visible LEDs. Read this symbol to do so.
This command turns OFF the near-field IR and turns ON the far-field
IR.
