I/O Parameters
When to Output Symbol Data
As Soon As Possible
End of Read Cycle
Assuming each operation was successful, the output would be as follows:
CP_,TP_,symbol data
Definition: This command allows the user to choose when symbol data can be sent to
the host.
Serial Cmd: <K705,symbol data output status, when to output>
Default: As Soon As Possible
Options: 0 = ASAP 1 = End of Read Cycle
Usage: As Soon As Possible is useful in applications in which symbol data needs
to be moved quickly to the host, typically when the host is making decisions
based on symbol data.
Definition: Enabling As Soon As Possible causes operation data to be sent to the
host immediately after an index has qualified, or after an operation switch
event has occurred.
Note: More than one decode might in fact be required to qualify as a Good
Read, depending on how Decodes Before Output is set.
Note: When the read cycle is configured for output As Soon As Possible,
output filters are applied to each Multi-Operation index, but do not apply
across Multi-Operation indexes. Output Filter # 1 will apply to the first output
of each Multi-Operation index, and so on.
Usage: End of Read Cycle is useful in timing-based systems in which the host is
not ready to accept data at the time that it is decoded.
Definition: Enabling End of Read Cycle means that operation data will not be sent to
the host until the read cycle ends with a timeout or new trigger, or until all
operations defined in Multi-Operation are completed.
Note: When the read cycle is configured for output at End of Read Cycle,
the output filters are applied to the final output of the read cycle. Therefore,
all active filters are applied across all Multi-Operation indexes.
For example, if 3 operations are enabled, one in each index, and if 3 filter
positions are active, all 3
filters will be applied to each operation and the
final output will be ordered according to the filters. See the table and resulting
output shown below.
Index Operation Filter Position Filter On
1 Bar Code Reader 1 Cap
2 Tube Detection 2 Tube
3 Cap Detection 3 Nothing
